Biography

Jean Crozier is a graduate of the University of Alberta (B.Sc.Geog.) and MacEwan University (Library & Info.Tech.). Her self-published family memoir, No Corner Boys Here, ( www.NoCornerBoysHere.com ) received an IPPY Award in 2008 and has met with both literary and commercial success. Together with Caterina Edwards, Jean develops and presents the popular Finding the Unique in. . . series of workshops for writers, ( www.FindingtheUnique.com ) and provides mentoring services for emerging writers. JeanÍs writing focuses on non-fiction, family memoir, and essay genres. Prior to her career in writing, and as a single mother and part-time university student in the early 1980Ís, Jean opened a library and information management consulting firm which soon became recognized as the largest and most varied corporation of its kind in western Canada, always on the leading edge of information technology. As a proud Edmontonian, Jean has actively volunteered with numerous organizations, including the Alberta WomenÍs Memory Project, Writers Guild of Alberta, ProCoro Canada Society, the Friends of the Provincial Museum (now Royal Alberta Museum), the IAAF 2001, the Old Strathcona Foundation.
