Biography | I was born and raised in Montreal and has been a Calgary resident for over 40 years so Alberta is home. I am the author of 11 professionally published books (fiction, children's literature, poetry and the novel). My latest book is a substantial collection of flash fiction entitled CANALWATCH (Mosaic Press, 2022). My writing has also appeared in numerous anthologies, in many regional and national publications and on the CBC. I have worked as the Writer-in-Residence for both The Calgary Public Library and The Writers Guild of Alberta (Strawberry Creek). My experience includes editing several manuscripts belonging to others and presenting readings/writing workshops both in Alberta and across Canada. I have also has been a juror for both the Alberta and Saskatchewan Book awards. My own books have been finalists (when I wasn't a juror) for the Writers Guild of Alberta Book Awards, including the City of Calgary, W.O. Mitchell Book Prize. Recently, I had the honor of being a writing mentor for The Writers' Guild of Alberta Mentorship Program. |
