Biography

JE (Jayne) Barnard has 25 years of award-winning fiction to her name. Her bestselling womenês wilderness suspense series, The Falls Mysteries (Dundurn Press) follows contemporary women as they confront crime, nature, and serious social issues. As an editor she is credited by the author for the 2022 Crime Writers of Canada Short Fiction Award. She has mentored many beginning crime writers. Her most recent novel, •Why the Rock Falls,ê delves into the dysfunctional family lives of Hollywood directors and oil dynasties amid the jaw-dropping limestone climbs in Albertaês Ghost River valley.
