Biography | Born in Langley, B.C., Jill has lived in Vancouver, Calgary, Fairbanks Alaska, Saskatoon, and now resides on Galiano Island with her dog Ringo. She attended the University of Calgary (B.A., M.A.), and the University of Alaska in Fairbanks (M.F.A. in Creative Writing). Jill has taught writing and composition at the university level, has led many workshops of varying lengths from one afternoon to one week, was editor of Grain literary magazine for 4 years, has served as an editor, a mentor as well as a facilitator at the Banff Centre. She has been writer in residence at the Saskatoon Public Library, Regina Public Library, Red Deer College, WGA, Alexandra Writing Centre, and many others. |
