Biography

Carol L. MacKay’s poetry for children and adults have been published in numerous anthologies and literary magazines, as well as broadcast on radio and television. She was awarded the Magazine Merit Award for Poetry by the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in 2020 and has received numerous awards for her individual poems. Bird, Making No Sound is the first collection of her work to appear in book form. Carol has lived most of her life in Alberta, but is currently residing on Vancouver Island.
