Biography

Born in Alberta, Calgarian Faye Reineberg Holt loves the stories and photos of Western Canadas past and is deeply committed to history, writing, reading and visual literacy. She has authored 12 books and co-authored an Alberta travel book. Other credits include poems, articles, interviews and short stories. Editor for three books and a literary magazine, she was writer-in-residence for Calgary Public Library and Alexandra Writers' Centre Society, Calgary. She believes in inspiring student reading, writing and research by sharing Western Canadas dramatic stories. She offers week-long residencies, full day programs and individual classes in schools. A former teacher, she has presented at writing, history and teaching-related conferences. As well as mentoring new and emerging writers, she teaches adult writing workshops.
