| Experience | I believe that just like everyone can sing, everyone can write. Like singers, we all have different voices. They all add to our literary landscape. I’m a former journalist who has worked in television and newspaper. As a journalist, you want readers to engage with the news item and not just turn the page and move on. You have to be a good writer but most importantly, a good storyteller. I now run a writing business. I take projects from the start to the end, from the writing, to the editing, to the publishing. I’ve told stories about a family who escaped Poland from under the Iron Curtain in the 80s. I’ve also told the story of a visionary surgeon who fled Iraq for Canada after his life was endangered by malicious forces. Not all the stories I’ve collected are as heart-stopping but they are just as compelling. Remembering the quiet moments such as a grandmother’s warm hug are as important. I'm a published creative writer, too. |
