Biography | T.F. Pruden is a novelist born in Canada. He spent much of his life learning to write fiction while touring the North American hinterland performing music under a stage name. After retiring from life on the road he began writing and publishing a series of literary and inter-connected fictional novels. Written in a uniquely constrained and minimalist style, they embrace the postmodern. Within them, he layers episodic and surreal elements into stories populated by Indigenous characters confronting the racism and bigotry common to life in Canada. Of Metis heritage, Mr. Pruden is best described as a chronicler of the obscure captivated by a never-ending search for independence. |
