| Biography | About the Author Daniela Cup_e (birth name) Apostoaei was born August 20th 1972 in Baia Mare, Maramures, Romania. She is best known for her bilingual poetry book – Blue Embrace- Albastru In Doi. The book was published in 2017 and launched at the International Book Fair Gaudeamus in Bucharest, Romania. Daniela Cupse Apostoaei got her Bachelor of Science in Law at the University of Oradea, Faculty of Law (1993-1997). Her first poems were published in the Press in 1988. In the same year she gets an award for the best poem in the –Albina” magazine in a national literature contest. She will later publish poetry in –Graiul Maramuresului” newspaper, and in –Preludii Literare”, a magazine of the Faculty of Literature in the North University of Baia Mare (1989-1993). Her debut as a columnist in the Media is in 2001 at the –Jurnal de Dambovita” newspaper in the Department of Investigations. This is a crucial moment in her carrier and from now on her destiny will follow the path of a true journalist. In law will only be working from 2004 to 2007. In the Fall of 2003, she has been awarded a bursary to a regional weekly magazine –O Mirande” in Santarem, Portugal. This time she worked with Portuguese journalists on a bilingual issue Romanian-Portuguese that was focused on citizensê social life and traditions of Cartaxo, a sister town of Pucioasa, Dambovita county, Romania. Between 2010 to 2012 she was producing a TV documentary series called –Destinies” at the MDITV. In 2011 she produces another series called –Home Among Foreigners– where she depicts in 12 episodes the life of Romanian emigrants in Germany. Daniela Cup_e Apostoaei is a member of the Writers Union of Romania, Union of Romanian Journalists Association, the Canadian Freelance Union / UNIFOR, the International Federation of Journalists/ IFJ and the Alberta Media Production Industries Association./AMPIA Daniela Cupse Apostoaei is also a Producer and Film Director at the Destiny Productions. Her recent Documentaries include The Boyash (2015), and Another Little Romania (2018), which both have acquired awards at the film festivals in Hong Kong, Mexico, Belgium and Honolulu. They were broadcast on TV channels in China, Canada and Romania. |
