Biography | Barbara Langhorst’s debut collection, restless white fields, won awards for poetry in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Her first novel, WANT, was shortlisted for the Regina Public Library’s Book of the Year Award. For nearly twenty years, she had the privilege of working with many of Canada's finest writers while hosting the Canada Council for the Arts Readings Series and arranging the annual writing workshops for St. Peter's College in Muenster, SK. During the pandemic, she and her husband moved home to Edmonton, where she continues to work as a writer, mentor, editor, and instructor. Her most recent novel, The Winter Blooming Tree, was released in October of 2021. |
