Biography | I started writing again around 2017. I am a New Literary Artist with the Canadian Council for Arts, and as such, received a grant with the CCA and CBC to write a series of short stories in their Digital Initiatives project July of 2020. I have written for Poetry Institute of Canada, and the Manitoba Voices anthology publications of 2020 and 2021. Currently, I am enrolled in studies with the end game being a Bachelor of Journalism degree from UBC. Above all else, my family is the most important to me. I am often quoted as saying to my girls, "I do not know what I did for God to give you to me, but I'm so very glad He did". |

Experience | Currently, I am enrolled in studies to complete Bachelor of Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing. Grande Prairie Regional College does not have a Bachelor Degree in this so I am in University Transfer studies. I will do 2 years of prerequisite courses here, and then 2 years to finish my degree at UBC. My current project is a follow up of 20 years living with the family who had baby David Tearoe taken from them. |
