Biography | Amir H. Yazdanbod, is a member of PEN Canada Writers in Exile group. Born in 1977 in Tehran, he started to write in 2004 and his short stories won several contests. Amirês first collection of stories, The Portrait of the Incomplete Man (Cheshmeh, 2009) won two national book prizes. His latest book, Stutter (Ofoq, 2013), has been critically acclaimed and nominated for several awards. Amirês subsequent works faced heavy censorship and did not get a publication license from the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. |
