So you’ve just finished writing your book…can it be printed? Not so fast… there are a few steps to look at between writing a book and getting it published.

In this session we will talk through the three main methods seen on a regular basis (conventional publishing, self-publishing, hybrid publishing) along with the advantages and disadvantages of each method. We will also talk about the critical things to think about if you plan on doing it on your own.

About Donovan Bergman:

Donovan has been a part of Friesens Book Division for over 17 years – 2 years in customer service and 15+ years in sales. Over that time he has connected with hundreds (maybe thousands) of authors with the goal of helping them get their book produced in a way that best serves their goals for the project.

Donovan lives in Altona with his wife, two sons, and dog Melvin. When not busy with the ins & outs of daily life with his family Donovan enjoys coaching hockey & baseball…and yes, sitting down with a good book.

Friesens plants and Donovan’s home office are located on Treaty 1 Territory – the original lands of the Anishinaabe peoples and on the homeland of the Metis nation.
