Has the question ‘Do I need an agent?’ ever crossed your mind? What about the question ‘How does a writer find an agent?’

Carolyn Forde, at Westwood Creative Artists, will talk with us about these questions and others: What does an agent do for a writer? What access does an agent have to publishers? What distinguishes agents from one another? Do agents represent ebooks? Do agents give editorial feedback on manuscripts?

This one hour webinar is for writers, both fiction and nonfiction, who are curious about the writer-agent relationship, and writers who are working towards a manuscript and are wondering when the best time is to think about an agent. Publishers and editors are also more than welcome to join!

Carolyn has been at Westwood Creative Artists since 2005, and has been a shareholder in the agency since 2010. She holds a B.A. Hons in English Literature and History from Trent University (including a year abroad at Liverpool Hope University), earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Publishing Sciences from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, and completed the Simon Fraser University Publishing Intensive course in Vancouver. She has lived and worked in Japan, Mexico and the Czech Republic and is a dual citizen of Canada and the UK.
