WGA Online Retreat – Welcoming Your Muse – Registration Deadline Extended!

Registration Deadline Extended to Feb. 18!

These unusual times call for unique events.

Rather than all the hassle of travelling to a remote location for a retreat this winter, the most difficult part will be blocking out time on your calendar; but it will be worth it. It will provide time to connect with other writers, time to focus on craft, and time to welcome your muse.

Registration is now closed.

After registering, you will have the opportunity to submit up to 2,500 words to the Writer-in-Residence, and book your appointment to discuss your work one-on-one. Once the weekend begins, you will receive videos of our retreat mentors, Betty Jane Hegerat and Bob Stallworthy on finding inspiration and motivation, and view any number of dynamic presentations in our WGA webinar library. Finally, we will meet each evening as a group and share conversation around a virtual fireside. (Well, it will be a real fire somewhere.) Plus, a few little extras.

The Writer-in-Residence for the online retreat is Anne Lapointe
Annette Lapointe has lived in rural Saskatchewan, Quebec City, St John’s, Saskatoon, Winnipeg (where she earned her PhD), and South Korea. She now lives in Treaty 8 territory, on the traditional lands of the Beaver people, and teaches at Grande Prairie Regional College.  She has previously published two acclaimed novels (Stolen and Whitetail Shooting Gallery), and a short story collection (You Are Not Needed Now). Her latest novel is And This is the Cure

Warm up your winter with this unique opportunity.

Saturday February 20th, 9 a.m. to Sunday February 21st, 7 p.m., 2021.

$90 for WGA Members | $110 for Non-Members.
