The Writers’ Guild of Alberta continues to cultivate connections with emerging writers and the youth writing community of our province. To that end, we are pleased to announce a special youth writing contest, with a $500 prize to be presented at our 2017 Alberta Literary Awards Gala in June.
- Authors of all entries must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
- Authors of all entries must have resided in Alberta for a minimum of twelve of the eighteen months prior to December 31, 2016.
- Submissions of fiction or nonfiction must be no more than 3,000 words. Submissions of poetry must be no more than six pages, with 12 pt. font.
- Submissions must be previously unpublished.
- There is a $20 entry fee. Payable by cheque or credit card.
