The biography of A.E. Dawson, one of the men principally responsible for Canada's bad reputation for mining stock fraud between 1935-1955. Dawson was active in Ontario and New York City, where he swindled investors of their life savings. The book traces his history from being a penniless English immigrant, to being the leading Canadian casualty insurance figure, to finally becoming a major stock fraudster in the USA and Canada. He was finally arrested in Mexico City and served time in both countries.
