Lea Storry, under her memoir business Our Family Lines, recently released Ed and Dorothy: Rocky Mountain Romance. Ed and Dorothy Carleton were “Banff Royalty” and their three sons, Mike, Terry and Brian, commissioned the memoir.

Ed was a Calgary Highlander who, after the Second World War, went on to be a Banff National Park warden. Dorothy was a war bride who left England and joined Ed for a life in the backcountry. Woven into the Carleton family stories, are other voices, whose accounts of life in Canada’s oldest national park immerse the reader in a fascinating and bygone era.
