Reader Bios:
Adrienne Adams (she/her) poet/artist/curator in Treaty 7, dedicated to creating safer inter-sectional space to honour the feminine. She is published in filling Station, Antilang, FreeFall, NewForum, M(O)thering, and others. Kyle Flemmer is an author, editor, and publisher from Calgary. Kyle founded The Blasted Tree Publishing Company in 2014 and served as Managing Editor offilling Station magazine from 2018-2020. Kyle’s first book, Barcode Poetry, was published in 2021.
Vivian Hansen has many poems, essays, and fiction published in various journals and anthologies and four books of poetry. She has recently published: crawlSpace, a collection of poems about rediscovering a deceased ex-husband.
Lisa Murphy Lamb, author of Jesus on the Dashboard (Stonehouse Publishing) and founder of Loft 112, a literary creative space which received the SANDSTONE CITY BUILDER and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee awards. Currently she coordinates the $50K Prairie Grindstone Literary Award.
David Martin works as a literacy instructor in Calgary. His first collection, Tar Swan (NeWest Press, 2018), was a finalist for the Raymond Souster Award and the City of Calgary W. O. Mitchell Book Prize. His next collection, Kink Bands, will be published by NeWest Press in 2023.
Stuart Ian McKay is a Calgary poet. “the commune of our waking “, his fourth book of poetry has recently been published by AOS Publishing of Montreal. In September he will be the Writer in Residence at the Penny Lou Cottage on Bowen Island in Vancouver.
Ashley J.J. White (Ashley Frerichs) is an arts advocate, English student, and poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction writer from Canada. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Berkeley Fiction Review, Wild Roof Journal, After Dinner Conversation, and more. She loves to read and write about philosophy, human nature, and relationships. www.ashleyjjwhite.ca
Sheri-D Wilson, aka the Mama of Dada, is the award-winning author of 13 books, 4 short films, and 4 albums which combine music & poetry. An international artist known for her electric performance-style, Sheri-D has performed and taught workshops at festivals around the world. In 2019 Sheri-D was appointed to The Order of Canada, for her contributions as a Spoken Word Poet and her leadership in the community. In 2017, she received her Doctor of Letters – Honoris Causa from Kwantlen University
Teresa Wong is the author of the graphic memoir Dear Scarlet: The Story of My Postpartum Depression, a finalist for The City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize. Her comics have appeared in The Believer, The New Yorker, and Event Magazine.
