Welcome to the new Writers’ Guild of Alberta’s website! Chemistry Communications built us this lovely new design and new features. We are grateful to the Alberta Foundation for the Arts for funding this project.
You may noticed that this website lives at writersguild.ca. Support for .ab.ca domain names is ending and the domain names will be phased out in a few years, so it is necessary for us to transition to a .ca domain. However, this allows us to leave our old website up at writersguild.ab.ca while we give members a chance to try out the new website and its many features. We welcome feedback as we work out any bugs before taking down our old website completely.
Once our old website is shut down, writersguild.ab.ca will redirect to writersguild.ca for several years, until .ab.ca domains become invalid. Since writersguild.ab.ca will eventually be phased out, please take this opportunity to update any bookmarks, email contacts, or other references to display writersguild.ca.
If you had an account and member directory profile on our old website, you should be able to log in using your current email and password. The Member Directory is not yet operational, but you can use your account to access the members section, check your profile information, and register for events—give it a try by registering for Words in 3 Dimensions!
It’s possible that some accounts and updates from the last week may not have been transferred, so if you are not able to log in, or are missing some of your profile data, please let us know. We will retrieve your information and get your new account up to date.
