Call for Mentors for the Borderlines Writers Circle

Thank you for your interest. The call for Borderlines mentors is now closed.

The Writers’ Guild of Alberta seeks mentors to work with participants of the 2017 Borderlines Writers Circle. Borderlines Writers Circle is a program for multilingual, multicultural writers who have not yet found a place in the local writing community. A significant feature of the program is mentorship.

Mentors are writers familiar with aspects of craft appropriate to the genre they write in. Mentors are involved in local writing communities and are willing to introduce Borderlines participants to those communities. Also, mentors are willing to support participants through the challenges of writing in English as a second language and writing about difficult subjects.

Wage: $750 total
