On April 14, Alberta Culture & Tourism Minister Ricardo Miranda announced the 2016-17 provincial budget. AFA funding is going to be kept at its current level of $26.6 million for the upcoming year. The proposed increases to AFA funding have been deferred for the time being until there have been sufficient improvements to Alberta’s financial situation.
