Ever wondered what actually happens after you hit “submit” to a literary magazine? Join the Writers’ Guild of Alberta Youth Committee and Filling Station for a virtual conversation designed to pull back the curtain on the literary magazine process. Whether you’re submitting for the first time or trying to better understand how lit mags work behind the scenes, this session will walk through what editors are looking for, how submissions are read, and what happens between the slush pile and publication.
This event will offer practical guidance and plenty of space for questions. We’ll talk about how to approach submissions, how to make sense of editorial processes, and how emerging writers can engage with literary magazines with more confidence.
