YEG – February Member Night: Biographies of Place: Literary Tales from Two Alberta Cities

Wednesday, February 6. 7 pm
Almanac on Whyte
Members: Free; Non-members: $5

RSVP via Facebook

Writers Carissa Halton, of Edmonton, and Shaun Hunter, of Calgary, are mapping their cities through the literary arts. Halton’s Little Yellow House and Hunter’s Calgary Through the Eyes of Writers are unique books that, through literary snapshots of their communities, introduce readers to Alberta’s two major cities in ways many have never seen before. In these biographies of place – a new nonfiction genre? –  Halton and Hunter uniquely document the people and culture of their respective communities. Join them February 6, 7pm at the Almanac as they discuss their books and the power of writing place.

Glass Bookshop will be on site with copies of both books available for purchase at the event.
