The Writers’ Guild of Alberta, City of Calgary and 17th Ave Retail & Entertainment District are pleased to present The 2015 City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize nominees at a special event on Tuesday, August 16th. Shortlisted authors will read from (or speak about) their nominated books and answer audience questions. Wine and tapas from Aida’s Bistro will be served; a social and celebration will follow the formal program.
There may (or may not) be a Chihuahua named Lulu co-hosting this event with Samantha Warwick. Big thanks to Shelf Life Books for having us in their beautifully-curated store, and for handling book sales and signings of the nominated author’s books.
The shortlist was announced to the public on Thursday, July 21st. Read the official press release from The City of Calgary here.
