My Theatre of Memory: A Life in Words traces Adriana Davies' life in Canada from her arrival as a child immigrant in the early 1950s, to the recent present and dealing with COVID. It explores the challenges faced by an ambitious woman who wanted to excel both in the workplace and as a wife and mother. It is not only a deeply personal story but also an examination of how a boomer with a progressivist view of history learns to deal with a troubled world. It is a reflection of the great hope for humanity of the 1960s and 1970s, and the realization that we can only be the change that we want to see. Davies deals with her work as a senior editor on The Canadian Encyclopedia, in the museum and heritage field and as a historian, author and poet.
