Adventure/Romance

The story of an ambitious young banker moving from his branch in London to a smaller branch Up North in the hopes of advancement. Compared to the hustle and bustle of London he fully expects his time there to be dull and boring. However, he soon meets a captivating but dissatisfied heiress, the daughter of the local Colonel and Her Ladyship. Added to this are the amorous advances of his newly assigned personal assistant.

The story is based on the premise of an ambitious young man moving from London to a small village in Northwest England where, although he thinks that life will be very boring as compared to living down the Smoke, nothing could be further from the truth.
