The featured poet this month is Viraj Muthye. Viraj Muthye is an Indian poet, science communicator, and scientist. He composes verses and rhymes about his lived experiences as a person of colour and immigrant in North America, his struggles with mental health and identity, socio-political issues facing his many homes (India, USA, Canada), among other things.
All of his poems have one goal – to start a conversation. Viraj published a book of poems in English in India over 12 years ago and is currently working on his second book. He is currently working as a bioinformatician at the Alberta children’s hospital and is the founder of the creative science alliance.
