Join the WGA for the SECOND LAST Poetry Parlour at Pachamama Soul. This month, we’re so excited to feature the brilliant poet, Gee!

Open mic sign-up starts at 7pm.

Pachamama Soul will be changing ownership after September 2026 and Poetry Parlour will be on a short hiatus until we find a new venue. Our last Poetry Parlour at Pachamama Soul will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

About the Gee: Gee is a poet from the Democratic Republic of Congo, whose journey began in an Ugandan refugee camp. Her work explores her struggle for identity between African and French cultures, focusing on themes of belonging, self-love, and mental health. Inspired by nature and the night sky, she began writing poetry at 12 and became active in Calgary’s art community through open mic and slam events. She aspires to further her art with her future poetry book. You can find her work on Instagram.
