Featured Reader
Our September featured reader is the wonderful Jess Martin-Sheardown.
Jess Martin-Sheardown (she/her) is a small-town Northern Ontarian transplant who now calls Calgary home.
An obsessive consumer and creator of the arts, her chosen forms range from theatre to fibre art to writing. She’s been an open mic contributor at People’s Poetry Festival, Poetry Parlour, Poetry Slam, and a contributor on the Indie YYC’s Speak Up series.
Her work centres on the divide/overlap of the personal and political, and centering her own lived experiences in a body that is sometimes faulty.
