Autumn Red Deer Poetry Workshop

Red Deer Arts Council and the Writers’ Guild of Alberta are excited to team up to offer an in-person poetry workshop on Friday November 11th, 1 – 4 p.m, led by Colin Martin.

This workshop, entitled AN INFORMAL ENGAGEMENT: VERSE AND VERSE LIBRE will include both form, and non-form poetry writing.

Attendance is by donation. Participants may bring their own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks for this afternoon of writing and connecting with the writing community.



A long time member of Calgary’s creative writing community, COLIN MARTIN has previously served as the President of the Board for the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society, filling Station Magazine, and as the founding editor of NōD Magazine. He currently teaches academic, technical, and creative writing for Mount Royal University and the Alberta University of the Arts, and employs Primrose the CanLit Sort of Husky Dog as his partner in various crimes against good taste and behaviour.
