About the Hosts

Abigail Troppmann is a creative non-fiction and poetry writer from Edmonton, Alberta. She studied creative writing at the University of Alberta, and is currently developing a collection of essays. When Abigail is not writing, she can be found knitting socks in public and pondering her next personal essay.

Gabriel Munro is a writer and composer who searches for melody within words and story within music. His writing has appeared in Existere Journal of Arts and Literature, Blank Spaces Magazine, and Calliope. He is the Creative Director of The New Classical FM and Associate Executive Director of Start With Mothers, where he works to spread education around the globe.

Chanel Klein is a spoken word artist from Treaty 6. Featured in ROOM Magazine, Edmonton Poetry Festival and on her mom’s fridge, Chanel’s poetry finds humour in the hideous. Right hook is her favourite punch.

Neema is a poet and movement specialist who lives, works and plays in Edmonton, Alberta. Her time is split up instructing bodies, attending open mics and pouring into her community. As a first generation Canadian and the daughter to Congolese parents, her art centers around those lived experiences. She is a dedicated public service professional with a background in law and extensive experience in federal programs.
