Join the Writers’ Guild of Alberta and the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society for a weekend of inspiration, professional development and networking opportunities! This year we’ll explore themes of WONDER, CURIOSITY & RETROSPECT. We’ll offer sessions that delve into topics such as discovering truth in an era of fake news, what makes an exceptional memoir, writing literary suspense, historical fiction, YA, and speculative fiction. We’ll explore digital storytelling and modern poetry, getting published in magazines (and beyond), working with agents and how to address social justice in our work. Hints of magic realism sprinkled throughout.
