Join Esmeralda Cabral and Meaghan Marie Hackinen for an evening of literary travel adventures!
Esmeralda will be sharing her book, How to Clean a Fish: And Other Adventures in Portugal (U of A Press), and Meaghan Marie Hackinen will discuss Shifting Gears: Coast to Coast on the Trans Am Bike Race (NeWest Press).

Esmeralda Cabral is a creative nonfiction writer. She was born in the Azores (Portual), and grew up in Alberta, and now lives in Vancouver.

Meaghan Marie Hackinen is a writer and cyclist whose two-wheeled adventures have taken her from Haida Gwaii to Mexico’s high plateaus, across Canada and the United States, and most recently, from North Cape to Tarifa along some of Europe’s highest paved roads.

All are welcome. This is a free event but we hope you will buy some food and drink as we celebrate spending time together.
