Come and be inspired by all the Little Red Reading House has to offer as an immersive hub of children’s literature. Meet author Patti Edgar, hear about her new middle-grade novel, Anna Analyst, and enjoy guided writing and independent writing time in themed rooms around the house.

Patti Edgar’s debut novel, Anna Analyst, was published this spring by Great Plains/Yellow Dog. The middle grade book was called a “droll, deftly executed debut” by Kirkus Reviews and recommended by CM and Canadian Children’s Book News. Pairiefire published her short story Floating in the summer 2021 issue and she’s had creative writing previously published in Grain and in the anthology Waiting (University of Alberta Press). She won the Calgary Foundation’s Brenda Strathern Writing Prize  and was a finalist for the Carte blanche/CNFC Creative Non-Fiction Prize. She teaches writing to teens and young adults in Calgary and is a member of the Writers Union of Canada and CANSCAIP.
