Are you a seasoned writer familiar with wrestling with theme, style, structure, and language? Do you have an interest in and an awareness of the challenges of cross- cultural references and sensitivities, writing about difficult subjects, and writing in English as a second language?
The Writers’ Guild of Alberta seeks mentors to work with the participants of the 2016 Borderlines Writers Circle. Specifically, mentors are needed in the areas of narrative journalism, poetry, short story, memoir, historical novel, and professional translation with a knowledge of Arabic.
Total time commitment: 15 hours (includes face to face meetings and prep time)
Duration: October through March
Wage: $750 total
Borderlines Writers Circle mentors must reside in Edmonton area.
