Donate your used kids’ books to Calgary Reads BY DECEMBER 6 to make sure every family this holiday season has something to read. Email [email protected] for drop off details.
“Calgary Reads is an early literacy organization committed to creating a thriving community where all children read with confidence and joy. I want to encourage everyone to please help us achieve success with their book donation drive associated with National Literacy & Learning Day. They are half way to their target of 100 books to be collected before December 6th 2012. A great way to help them is to collect books from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors or anyone in your social network!
You can donate your gently-used or new storybooks for children up to age 12. Many families do not own books or have the ability to buy them. Your book donations will help Calgary Reads (a non-profit organization) create Little Home Libraries. Families using the Calgary Food Bank will
be given these portable libraries for free, helping them create a literate family where reading is an important part of every day. Please email [email protected] if you wish to donate and we will provide you with the drop off details.
