The success and enthusiasm for the Summer Youth Open Mic Series is rolling forward into the fall: YOURS (Youth Of Untitled Reading Series)
A open mic for youth (ages 12-19) at Untitled Bookshop, where you can come and read your work and write new words! Hooray. You can read anything you like, there will be a 5 min time limit per reader.

Chris Krueger is a geek for comic books, fantasy football and the topics of metaphysics and math. He was once a professional wedding singer and has opened for Chris Isaak in Las Vegas. He is a member of Mensa, but will never comprehend why UGG boots are cool. He has a B.A. in Communication Studies and held an internship with NBC affiliate Channel 9 News in Denver, Colorado, in the sports and weather departments so not only does he know if the game will be rained out, but he also knows why it is raining and how to tell people to bring an umbrella. Chris believes that the cucumber is the number-one-worst-tasting-food and that its gross-quotient taints everything it touches. And finally, he enjoys making people laugh and helping spread good cheer. His mom thinks that he is a lot of fun to be around.
Chris is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and was a member of both the 2010 and 2011 Edmonton Spoken Word Slam Teams.
Mary Pinkoski is a spoken word poet from Edmonton.Shewas a member of 2011 Edmonton Poetry Slam Team which won the National Championship at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. Mary was also voted Most Valuable Poet of the 2011 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. She was a finalist in the 2011 Edmonton Poetry Laureate competition, as well as a finalist at the 2011 Canadian Individual Slam Championship. Mary was the winner of the 2008 National CBC Poetry Faceoff. A storyteller at heart, her writing has been called dynamic and visceral. Mary has presented her unique style of spoken word throughout Canada, and into the United States. Most recently Mary performed at the 2012 Tedx Edmonton: Activating Ideas conference.
In addition to her live performances, Mary’s work has been played on CBC Radio One’s Radio Active and the Key of A, CKUA’s The Road Home, as well as Philadelphia’s Spotlight on Jazz and Poetry. Mary has also led numerous workshops on spoken word poetry, including work with youth. Mary’s most current chapbook is love is a tree you planted.
