WGA EDMONTON OCTOBER MEMBER NIGHT: STORYTELLING: ART FORM, POWERTOOL… a rare evening with two award-winning authors: master storyteller Tololwa Mollel and one extraordinary story herself, author Nhung Tran-Davies

Tololwa Mollol shares his process as a creator, shares techniques, and performs his stories in a “show & tell” for fellow writers and Nhung Tran-Davies talks about the power of storytelling as she shares stories behind her own journey story – as a physician, philanthropist, mother and author of children’s books.

Wanna hear stories? They have been known to transport people to other worlds, change hearts and minds, even the course of history…  Join us for what can only be a delightful and transformative evening as we explore STORYTELLING as an art form and as a powerful tool for the writer.

Tololwa Mollel has written books and stories and plays for the young, and the young at heart, and for the not so young! He writes in English and Swahili, the national language of Tanzania where he was born. He also adapts stories for stage performance. Tololwa likes to read and watch and listen to stories, and to share them every which way to anyone. When he isn’t writing or reading or watching or listening to stories, he performs and tells them as an actor-performer, with other artists or alone.

Nhung N. Tran-Davies is a physician and advocate for social justice through education. Nhung and her family live outside Edmonton, Alberta.
