Blue Pencil Cafe – be prepared!

Writing for the Blue Pencil Cafe

(spots for 3 students a day for 30 minutes each)

 

Do you have specific questions about a piece of writing that you would like to ask an author, a poet, a playwright, an editor?  Consider signing up for a Blue Pencil Cafe session.  The following writers will be available on the following days to review, discuss and offer you 1:1 advice on your writing.  But you have to be prepared.  Bring a copy of your work on paper. (we do not have access to printers of any kind at Kamp Kiwanis).

Week One:

Monday- Kim Firmston will accept prose (novel, short story, flash fiction) up to 5 pages double spaced and scripts of any kind (20-30 pages)

Tuesday-Shantelle Landry will accept any form of writing up to 5 pages (double spaced)

Wednesday-Jen Kunlire is willing to do fiction, poetry and prose-you got it–5 pages (double spaced)

Thursday-Andrew Torry will accept fiction, stage plays, and screen plays up to 2,000 words

Week Two

Monday- Erinne Sevigny will accept fiction (novel excerpts, short story, flash fiction) and creative nonfiction up to 2500 words double spaced.  She is also available to talk through plot lines and novel ideas, too.
Tuesday-Brendan McLeod will accept poetry or fiction up to 5 pages (double spaced)
Wednesday-Mary Pinkoski will work through one spoken word poem (priority) or one poem if there is room.
Thursday & Friday -Alexis Kienlen is happy to work with you on poetry fiction or journalism up to 10 pages double spaced.
Don’t forget to bring this writing, printed and ready to go!  This is a great opportunity.
