Be prepared to play, create and laugh! With Spoken Word Poet Jen Kunlire (week 1)

Greetings Word to the Worth!

I am excited to come back to WordsWorth a second time around! This summer we are the LAST poets standing; during week 1, we will explore what it would be like to be the last exiles of storytelling and poetry.

Be prepared to play, create and laugh!

Last Poets Standing – A Slam Play

The year is 2022 and the last Colonies of standing Poets & Storytellers are called upon to deliver a message to the wifi zombies. A virus of social networking has devoured the earth. People forgot how to write and communicate.

Acronym speech spreads like locus and people delirious with the WiFi Virus forget how to write and perform poems.

The last 3 standing Colonies have also been infected with the virus!!!

What will these almost extinct Colonies say when they are called upon to deliver the last poems ever written or spoken? Time is ticking and they only have 3 minutes each to stake their legacy as the Last Poets Standing.
